You are guilty of destroying some of the great myths of my childhood. I didn'tmind the great wall of China being smaller than I thought - afterall, in my childhood we actually spoke to each other either face to face or over a thing with cord - a telephone. But a Viking helmet without horns is going too far. The next thing you'll be telling me is chocolate milk doesn't come from brown cows and peanuts aren't actually nuts.

Being of Icelandic heritage, I was put right fairly early in my life about the Viking helmets not having horns. Unfortunately, certain people of non-Nordic heritage (such as the owners of the Minnesota Vikings) have falsely allowed this myth to persist...
