I imagine you are missing your many friends in Taiwan, but I'm glad here where it safer that in the gun sights of a dictator. anyone who cares about animals can't be all bad - PB&T aside.
I know about writer's block and the excuses I make for not writing. I usually write about politics and economics from what I feel is a middle of the road perspective. I have learned a great deal by listening to people on both sides of an issue and this has caused me to moderate my stance on some issues.
It is my goal to have people examine their opinions - not to necessarily change them, but to realize ther are many ways of looking at the same issue.

Thanks Edward, the weather certainly is a lot tamer over here, if not a bit cold for my subtropical tastes. The middle of the road perspective is a dangerous one to hold these days, but in many views, the noblest. Good luck with it.
Hey JJ. Glad you are safe. I don't keep tabs, but you were off the grid for a bit. We're having some whacky shit weather here, too - not hurricane or typhoon force but since when has Ottawa been tornado valley? Hey, life is for experiences and living - wherever on the planet you end up. Looking forward to some more of your wonderful scribes both here and on Medium ( Did you see the changes? I'm super happy!)
Hey Barb, I heard there were 2 in Ottawa this summer? Yikes. As for the Medium changes, neat but I'll have to see how the 'balance sheet' changes haha.

Nice! Nice! I liked Cooper at first glance. You must have seen the floods in China. Any kinds of flood control should not have let this happen, or so it seems. Do you have a thought or two about that? I'm guessing Taiwan did not fare as badly. Can't say I have much to comment on that other than maybe they've been less wary with the drastic reduction in typhoons in recent years. When it hit us, the wind was pretty crazy and the rain incessant, but I've been in worse there. On the other hand, maybe it gathered strength as it passed up the straight to the mainland.

There were. And we had three warnings here in Montreal. I've been here for 28 years and never seen the like.
