Wow. I don't think the movie would be seen exactly the same way now if Michael, Prince or Mick had played the Goblin King instead of Bowie. (But maybe it would have been the financial success Jim Henson wanted it to be instead of the muddled bomb it became).

The whole key to this logic problem is that it is a yes/no question embedded within a yes/no question!
It is a meta-logic problem in an 80s movie for kids. A movie that I loved growing up!
Jim is probably taking comfort in that in the great beyond.
