I liked what you had to say and I am waiting to read your articles on writing. Like you, I feel I am mainly a curator and not a genuine writer. I am interested in science, history, and economics, so I try to rephrase articles I have read into simpler forms for people who are interested but don't want to study these subjects.
Based on some things you have written, I guess you would be classified as a "nerd", but you take complicated ideas and express them for the average readers.
BTW, I am using the term "Nerd" in a very complimentary way. I wanted to be an engineer, but I lack the necessary math aptitude.
