I don’t see why the Pryori can’t live in perfect harmony as the friendly but decidedly more serious neighbor of Pryor Knowledge. Honestly, I’ve never unsubscribed from a newsletter because there was a link to an article I didn’t like. I think most of your readers are probably astute enough just not to click what doesn’t interest them, and I’m surprised that there have been those who have left because of it. Of course numbers don’t lie, and I’m not an analyst. But I would encourage you not to stress about the pieces some in your audience won’t like. I don’t think it’s fair to stuff a creator, much less one who’s providing you with a free product, in a box and expect him to just be that guy… That funny guy, that serious guy, that guy with long winded existential musings… Whatever it is. Life isn’t a sitcom, and neither are you… nor should you ever allow yourself to become just another character within one.
I thought about this comment for a very long time last night. In the end, it helped me chill out a bit, at least in terms of how I think about this newsletter and my writing career in general. People will like what they like in the end, I need to strive to remember that more often. Thanks for sharing.
Hi JJ, I’m looking forward to a pryori - and I love the names!
Hey thanks Claire!
This is one of two newsletters that I actually read. I'm subscribed to tens of newsletters, but I don't enjoy most. So thank you.
That means a lot to me, thanks for saying so
